We hold the privacy of your personal information in the highest regard. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for this website.
We recognize the importance of protecting your privacy and our policy is designed to assist you in understanding how we collect, use and safeguard the personal information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our site. This policy will be continuously assessed against new technologies, business practices and our customers' needs.
What Information Do We Collect?
When you visit this web site you may provide us with two types of information: personal information you knowingly choose to disclose that is collected on an individual basis and Web site use information collected on an aggregate basis as you and others browse our Web site.
1. Personal Information You Choose to Provide:
Registration Information
When you register for any of our products, services or
newsletters you will provide us information about yourself.
Ticket Purchase Information
If you do purchase tickets or make a online
Registration, we will be receiving both: personal information at your choosing to disclose, and information we
require to manage and develop or expand the activities of the event, in the form of survey questions as part
of the Ticket Purchase.
Tickets with this survey included, with many required Questions, are not required to be purchased to attend, as we have Ticket Choices without the Extensive Survey. We do however, offer the Tickets with the Survey at a discount ed price, before any further promotions, as a 'Thank You' to those who take our Survey to help us develop EV Fest to a higher level.
We have provided a summary disclosure of those particulars on our 'Ticket Survey' Page, regarding the information provided as a guest of EV Fest 2015, buying a ticket for yourself, or for Family tickets.
Credit Card Information
If you choose to avail of our services and make online purchases, you may need to give personal information and
authorization to obtain information from various credit services. We have restricted the Credit information we
receive from your personally, by using a Payment Portal which handles those details.
In our case we have chosen to work with PayPal which collects the relevant financial
information. For example, you may need to provide the following information:
-Name
-Mailing address
-Email address
-Credit card number
-Name on credit card
-Credit card billing address
-Business and home phone number
The Financial Portions will be received by PayPal, and the Business and Personal information may also be received by us in registering as an Exhibitor.
Personal Information received on Registration and Ticket Purchases are collected for determining the validity of Marketing and Advertising Activities, and to determine the best places to place future Advertising Activities. Age information is used to determine mediums to consider for advertising; similar to Address information being used to locate Geographical Locations of interest to extend our marketing efforts.
We have recently taken steps to simplify the information gathered, so that, for situations not requiring Full House Address, and Street information, we have removed those requests, and simplified the query to ask for just City, and State/Province. This is the case for Guest Tickets and Family Ticket at present.
We will review the process to see if such an approach of reduced detailed address gathering can still work for Exhibitor Registrations. There may be need to provide documents by Canada Post or other Mail and Courier Services to Exhibitors, which limit this possibility at present.
Email Information
If you choose to correspond with us through email, we may retain the content of your email messages together with
your email address and our responses. We provide the same protections for these electronic communications that we
employ in the maintenance of information received by mail and telephone.
